Immersive Holiday Event Design & Strategic Marketing for Johnson Bar

Context / Challenge
The Johnson Bar in downtown Paducah wanted to transform its space into a holiday destination that would drive traffic, delight guests, and stand out in a season saturated with traditional events.

Creative Solution
We designed a fully immersive Home Alone-themed pop-up experience that ran through the month of December. Drawing from the film’s most iconic moments, we built a nostalgic, playful environment with hand-crafted oversized presents (made from recycled Lazy Boy boxes), hanging paint cans, and era-specific decor sourced in partnership with local businesses like Trees n Trends and Creative Interiors. We created life-sized character cutouts, an interactive tube TV loop playing Angels with Filthy Souls, and designed a custom cocktail and snack menu in the style of Kevin’s “battle plan.” The sensory details extended to scent, lighting, props, and even costumed actors portraying Marv, Harry, and Kevin’s mom for surprise interactions.

Impact
The experience was a smash success. It brought major foot traffic, increased holiday sales, and helped Johnson Bar position itself as a creative destination. We also managed the full social media and content strategy, driving strong engagement and brand visibility throughout the campaign.
